As part of a redesign of their existing website, Franklin Commons asked for an interactive directory. The directory served a few purposes. First, it should show all the businesses and their locations. Second, it should show more detailed information about those businesses. Finally, it needed to show the available spaces and information about those spaces.
On the backend, I created a custom post type in WordPress along with some custom meta to store information about the spaces and businesses. On the front end I utilized the canvas element to display a map of the building. To hook the backend up to the front end, I leveraged createjs to draw our map and pull in the data stored in WordPress.
